Tom and Sandy Mercier both took lessons at Hunter Oaks long before purchasing the farm in 1998. They met on a group trip to the Rolex Kentucky 3-Day Event in Lexington. Years later, they passed down their horse-loving genes to two young girls, Michelle and Allisson.

 

Michelle is now the owner of her own farm near Ocala, FL and the dressage team coach for the University of Florida.  Allisson is a part-time student at Illinois State University and took over as manager of Hunter Oaks in 2019. Both girls got their roots in Pony Club and moved up the levels very successfully. Training with and working for professionals from the US, Canada, and the UK has given Michelle and Allisson a deep understanding of horsemanship, sportsmanship, and work ethic.
